Whether it’s a car headlight or a connector – many products that we use every day, get moist or even wet. And they still have to function perfectly. In our new water chamber with which we just recently upgraded our environmental laboratory, we test if products are splash-proof.
Our accredited facility offers the possibility of modifying and developing new test methods. In our new water chamber, we can carry out protection class tests for electrical parts and components according to the IP code (IPX0-6(K)) – fully automatically.
These tests are particularly important in the field of electromobility: We are now able to test electrical components for cars up to 3.5 tons according to the standard LV 124 as well as car connectors according to the standard LV 214. These standards were developed by leading automobile manufacturers and describe different electrical tests that we carry out in our laboratories.
