Certified, accredited and renowned for reliable results
18 independent bodies have confirmed that IMA Dresden is working according to national and international norms and standards, and meets the strict stipulations and criteria.
The quality management system is certified according to DIN EN 9100, while the environmental management system is certified according to ISO 14001. With a clutch of accreditations, IMA Dresden has proven its competence, independence and performance and is an internationally recognised testing, calibration, monitoring and certification body. All of the laboratories involved are accredited by DAkkS according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Flexible accreditation allows us to modify and further develop or rework our testing procedures. IMA Dresden has been recognised by DAkkS as an accredited Type A inspection body for the inspection and certification of pipes and pipework systems for water and gas supplies and wastewater disposal as well as construction products, product groups and construction components, in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020, and as a certification body in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065.

Many laboratory areas of IMA Dresden are flexibe accredited. This means that test standards or editions of test standards may be used without the approval of the DAkkS, even if these are not specified in the annex to the accreditation certificate. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory
IMA Dresden’s calibration laboratory is accredited for the calibration of force and length on uniaxial materials testing machines in accordance with DIN EN/IEC 17025 and can thus perform DAkkS-compliant calibrations.

The Applus+ IMA calibration laboratory is accredited flexibly. This means that the accredited calibration standards may be used with different issue statuses without DAkkS approval, even if these issue statuses are not specified in the accreditation certificate. For many years, IMA Dresden has been recognised by Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) as an accredited Type A inspection body in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020. This covers the inspection of pipes and pipework systems for water and gas supplies and wastewater disposal as well as plastic components and composite plastic parts in building construction and civil engineering.

For many years, IMA Dresden has been recognised by Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) as an accredited certification body in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065. IMA Dresden is accredted by the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) as a monitoring and certification body in accordance with the state building regulations for the construction products listed in the notice in the regulated and non-regulated spheres (SAC 08).

The German Railway Authority (Eisenbahn-Bundesamt, EBA) has confirmed the DIBt’s approval of IMA Dresden as a monitoring and certification body for railway-specific construction products, construction types, components and construction methods.

IMA Dresden is recognised by Panels and Profiles Europe (PPA Europe) as a testing and monitoring (“third-party”) body for sandwich elements and sheet metal profiles.
