Construction products, pipe systems, plastics: Expansion of the scope of approval as inspection and certification body of the DAkkS - DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013 / DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012
IMA Dresden has been an accredited inspection body Type A as per DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and certification body as per DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013 by the German accreditation Body (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH DAkkS). These are valid for the monitoring and certification of pipes and pipework systems for water and gas supplies and wastewater disposal as well as construction products, product groups and construction components. In the course of re-accreditation, the scope of approval has been widened to cover:
“Structural sections and decks made from fibre reinforced polymers (FRP/glass fibre composites)”; EAD 260001-00-03.03 2016-04, EOTA file No. 13-26-0001-03.03
In the international context, IMA Dresden can thus support companies with regard to CE marking based on the European Assessment Document (EAD). This EAD refers to construction products, structural sections and cladding and covers for bridges, which are manufactured from glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) using the pultrusion method.
