HYDROGEN PRESSURE TANKS - AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT IN THE ENERGY TRANSITION
Hydrogen pressure tanks are an important part of the energy transition. Their design and safety will determine whether hydrogen becomes established as an alternative energy storage system in the future.
This is exactly where we, IMA Dresden, come in! Since September 2020 we have a new, competent partner in the development of hydrogen pressure tanks by our side – the Leichtbauzentrum Sachsen GmbH, LZS for short. Together, we would like to accompany and advance the entire value chain of such tanks for our customers in the future.
That is why we took the cooperation with LZS as an opportunity to inform about the development of hydrogen pressure tanks in a webinar. In front of more than 131 participants, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Ridzewski, Business Development at IMA Dresden (on the right in the picture), and Dipl.-Ing. Kai Steinbach, Head of Engineering at LZS (on the left in the picture), spoke about their joint activities and respective knowledge in the field of composite hydrogen storage tanks. The webinar was organized by the international network Composites United e. V.
