It’s this time of the year again: road salt on the streets! Some car owner worry about the damage it can do to the car paint and sheet metal. In order to test the effect road salt has on vehicles, but also the pollution in areas of the maritime climate, we have expanded our environmental laboratory with a salt spray chamber. In this we carry out corrosion tests or salt spray tests. The test specimens are exposed to a salty fog atmosphere at an elevated temperature in order to simulate the stress caused by oxidizing, corrosive substances in a time-lapse effect.
